...shut up and eat.
I had half of Saturday off and I still don't feel rested or recovered from my nightmare of a job!! I woke up early. Normal routine, feed the rodents/cats and get ready to go to the ghetto clinic. I drove Wicked down for his exercise, it was a nice uneventful drive. Parked at the downtown mall, where if you buy something you can get validated for 3 hours- unlike at the garage next to the clinic- where you pay no matter what. I got to the clinic a half hour early at 10am, but they let me into an exam room at 10:15. I was out of there by 10:45 and walking the few blocks back to my car. I bought a coffee at Starbucks to validate my parking and was on my way back home. I finalized a couple of errands. A trip to wallymart for some vitamins, a humidifier filter, some toiletries for home and my trip, and a few food items I know I can get cheaper there than the grocery store. Then a short trip to the pet store to buy Galaxie's new wet food of choice since she's become an "adult". Let me pause by saying it's getting ridiculous how many vitamins I'm taking in the morning. 2 Vitamin Ds, 1 Vitamin C, 1 B-Complex, 1 Prenatal, 1 Woman's Daily, 1 Fish Oil, 1 Calcium- and tomorrow I'm going to add an Odorless Garlic- to help boost immunity hopefully. I also got Vitamin E liquid today to apply to my face. I even bought liquid Vitamin B Complex to add to my rats' yogurt at night. I drove those items home and dropped Wicked off. Got into Roger and went to the grocery store. Broke my budget, but what else is new? Speaking of budgets. Saturday I stopped at the oil change place for Roger who was 40 miles overdue for his oil change. They told me my serpentine belt was cracked. After 62 thousand miles I would guess so. For 100 bucks and 15 (more like 30) minutes more they'd change it. Eh. Oh well. That and a cabin filter which was loooong overdue (never changed it since I've owned the car) cost me just over $160 bucks- the chick gave me a discount that knocked 20 bucks off of 180 something. I unfortunately had to charge this experience (adding to a $180 balance- phooey). It was waaaay beyond my budget. Car maintenance is very important though- especially since I didn't get the 60k mile service like I should have. Thankfully I had some nice alone time at the apartment- sis and bro-in-law went to our 'rents place to watch monday football. Pffffftt. I was invited but....yeah, right. I made a nice dinner. Hung out with my cat. Fixed the strange lamp situation in my room (I'm having issues with my torch lamp so I switched bases with another lamp in the apartment). I winterized my room- since it looks like colder days are coming. Put away my fan, got out my ceramic heater and my cool mist humidifier- which has a new filter and is on. I've put Vitamin E on my clean face. Got into my jammies. Have my ratties out for their nightly romp (spiked their nightly yogurt with Vitamin B- which they don't seem to take to very easily) Gave Sway her weekly anti-inflammatory. My sister delivered me my mail from the 'rents house. My old boss sent me a copy of the sequel to Donnie Darko, bless his soul. Got a sample of tea from The Republic of Tea, got my bill from one of my credit cards that I already paid by phone- and yay! I paid the right amount and my computer that I so happily tap upon is paid off! (one credit debt gone at least) Everything would be pretty perfect if only I had another job.....
