A Few Things To Be Grateful For
So yeah.
My weekend was pretty much as predicted. I didn't leave the apartment once. I should have. Taken Wicked for a drive. Taken Galaxie out on her harness. Gone for a walk. But no. Didn't do any of those things. Mostly read. Slept. Ate. I did manage to clean my spaces including the rodent homes. So at least that was done.
First day of the work week today. Another week at work it is going to be. I took in at least 15 animals today. I'm soooo tired of this.
I did go to the gym though, and hope to go the rest of the week. It was a push to get motivated to go. Again the energy shot didn't do a thing for me.
One nice surprise happened today- I called the pay by phone service to pay my auto insurance bill. Expecting to dig out my usual just-under-three-hundred-dollar payment, and my insurance finally went down!!! Yayayayayayayayaa!!!! Cut by about 100 bucks. Such a nice surprise. Granted I'm still pretty broke, but I was able to hock away 40 bucks in my "hidden" money instead of nothing like I thought would happen this paycheck. My insurance payments won't be so dreaded from now on. Knocking on wood that there are no fender benders in my future.
So September. Wow. The year has gone by so fast. Granted I spend most of my weeks trying and wishing for it to hurry along- and here it is. September. Sheesh. My little Galaxie was born this month last year- and didn't show up at the shelter for a little while. I still remember her shivering little body the day I took her home. She was so scared. Now she's one of the little fuzzy loves of my life. I can't imagine my time without her anymore.
My precious Sway is still kicking, and happily, despite all the cysts riddling her little body. 3 years and 1 month old. She's my little rattie wonder. I think I'll be making a vet appointment for her soon, just for a check up. Switch, her young cagemate is doing well and you'd never know now she had an operation in July.
There are little things I am grateful for.
