Not Too Bad @ All
I managed to do everything on my list but one. That's not too bad.
I got up later than I wanted to. I hit the "off" button instead of the "snooze" on my phone. Galaxie I think, seemed to know I didn't want to lay in bed all day so she got in my face and meowed at me. It was 7:49, thank you baby!
I fed my rodents and the cats, then had waffles for breakfast. Took a shower and managed to get Wicked out before ten. It was after ten by the time I got to Target. Been doing without my moisturizer, and ran out of some vitamins. Wicked needed detailer and tire shine. I indulged in a stick of Burt's Bee's Lip Shimmer (it's good stuff). Got a few food items that are cheaper there than at the grocery store. I managed to spend 50 bucks which really isn't so bad considering.
I went to the pet store. Despite really wanting to spend money on Courage my Betta fish, I couldn't find an ornament or an aquarium plant I liked. I got bedding for my rodents and hammie food. Vitamins for their water. Dropped another 50.
Went home and put Wicked away. My sister and her husband had left by then since they had a family picture appointment with the baby. But, didn't much feel like sticking around- and they were expecting company later anyway.
I went to Borders, again expecting to spend money- but didn't. I went to Starbucks in the end and just had a cup of coffee. I was kind of just waiting on the volunteer I was supposed to go to the movies with to call and just killing time. My friend Ry from Vegas called to chit chat for a few minutes.
I decided a trip to Ross was in order. So I walked around that store for a while. Taking my time. Found a matching batter bowl to a 3 bowl set of leopard print melamine that I bought there many months ago. A travel coffee cup to add to my small collection of them. A stylish satin half sleeve jacket for fall. While I was there the volunteer texted me and we made plans to meet up at 3 and watch the new Harry Potter movie.
So I went to Del Taco for lunch. Texted back and forth with AZ while I was there and up until I got to the theatre.
Watched the movie, which I enjoyed. Could have been slightly shorter- but it's very obviously a "set-up" movie for the next one. They better hurry, those kids are going to be 30 before we know it.
After I left the theatre I drove straight to the grocery store. I only spent 50 there which believe me lately is a record. Filled up Roger's tank. Came home.
I've been tinkering around ever since. Tried to read but not too into the book I'm reading. So I put a dvd in, Clash of the Titans.
Now Galaxie is in bed, and I'm visiting with my ratties.
So the only thing on my list for today I didn't manage to do was to take Galaxie out on her harness. Which I've decided I'm going to do my best to take her out tomorrow. Short ride in Wicked. Supposed to have lunch with the old boss, and dinner with the family at a restaurant as well. Some time during the day I've got rodent homes to clean too.
Today I was pretty busy. Not a lot of time to relax- I guess some of the day I did force myself to be out and about. I'm going to sleep pretty well. Hope to be up by 7 or so. Spend some time on the balcony. Have some of my coconut macaroon flavored coffee. Spend some good quality time with my cat.
I love my animals. I have to remember that a lot of the crap I endure I do because I have them to take care of. I'd do anything for them. It looks like I am.
I had a nice day though. A really nice day.
