Ode To The Tree O' Dollar

The Dollar Tree should pay me for this entry I'm about to do.

The Dollar Tree rocks. Granted, the 99 Cents Only store is better in a lot of ways, but there's not one near me. I have five Dollar Trees to pick from. Count them. Five. Each one slightly different, so if you're looking for something specific you have to know which one to go to.

I went to the one that occupies an old Michael's craft store building. They're converting a lot of them around us to have at least a small refrigerator/freezer section. I went there today after I finished my laundry. Partly out of boredom, partly out of things we needed in the kitchen. Partly out of curiosity as to what this particular one had for food products. I just needed to leave the house and have some cheap entertainment. (Though really, I shouldn't have spent the money)

I left with, Hunt'sBBQ sauce, honey mustard, Nilla wafers, 3 cans ($1!) of Green Giant corn, Red Baron mini pizzas, a couple Budget Gourmet frozen meals, a gallon of Crystal Geyser water. I also got electrical tape (2pk) for Wicked's wires. A pack of 3 sponges for the kitchen, Ajax dish soap, and two bags of decorative flat marbles for Courage's fish tank.

Where else can you spend $14 and get all that?? Everything brand name and if not brand name, I always check to make sure it's at least made in the USA, because the funky thing about the store is that if it's not made in China, it's made in the USA, and it has a surprising amount of items made here. Like the mustard, I wasn't familiar with the brand, but it's made here. And hell, the marbles alone are at least 4-5 dollars a bag in any other craft/pet store. It's ridiculous.

I frickin' love that place.

I finished cleaning all the pet homes this evening. Cleaned Courage's tank first- I got rid of the fish tank gravel that seems to contribute to the mold/algae growth, and put in the flat marbles I got at the dollar store. The tank looks amazing now. He seems fascinated with the marbles too. Heh, keep it interesting for him. I cleaned both hammie cages and the rat condo as well. So I have happy rodents tonight. It makes me happy too. When everything is clean (including my room!) it sure does make a difference in my attitude.

I have two more tuesday car shows left. I have mixed feelings about it. Honestly I haven't really gotten into this season anyway, I think I'm almost glad it's over. It's not like it's obligatory, but I go just to get myself out of the house. I enjoy the guys' company.

I gotta leave the car show early tomorrow and next week too, because they decided to move Hell's Kitchen up from 9pm to 8pm. I don't miss Chef Gordon Ramsey hell or high water. If I lived for a TV show, it'd be that one. I never miss it.

I swear I'm going back to the gym starting wednesday. I plan on going at least three days to start off- since it seems it made me crash pretty hard last time with my stupid bronchitis still hanging around. I feel like a total slug. This is the second month I haven't been able to go and it's wreaking havoc on my body and my mind. I would really like to be back up to 4-5 days a week by August or mid.

I can't believe my two days off are already over. This f*cking sucks.
