Is This How Bored Housewives Get Excited?
I feel sorry for people who don't enjoy time spent alone.
Granted, there's usually another buzzing brain in the house, but in the mornings, I can usually bet on being "alone" until at least ten in the morning.
I got up at a reasonable hour, 8am or so. Fed the animals. Decided, that before it got to be over 100, instead of having my usual day off leisurely breakfast on the balcony, I'd better get Wicked out for that drive- because it wasn't going to happen if it got too hot. So I took my shower and went down to the car. Went for a really nice drive for about an hour (killed a quarter tank of gas). Back just in time for the sun to get really pulsing- but not hot enough yet to not still have my bagel/cream cheese and fruit juice on the balcony with my book. I'd like to say "good book" but seriously, this book I'm reading sucks- for lack of something else to read I'll begrudgingly finish it.
My sister says she's got some books I could read, but they're not my usual genres so I'm not al that thrilled about reading them, but I will. I'm a nerd like that. The ones she's given me in the past aren't horrible reading, they're just not horribly exciting.
Anyhow, I've managed to conquer the pile of laundry, shake down the bathroom and pick up the room a bit. Still need to vacuum, still need to clean the rodent cages, but I usually do those in the evenings anyway.
I'm going to treat myself with a little trip to the dollar store here in a bit after I pop the roast for dinner in the oven.
Aren't you excited for me? Let this be a lesson for you- if you spend all your money- this is what happens to you!
