The State Should See My Tight Budget
Another week gone.
It's horribly ironic that I do nothing but wish for the week's end, but feel bad that the passage of time in the end is so fast......and then I have nothing to add for it.....
Still broke as hell and won't be doing much of anything exciting on my days off. It's been over 100 degrees the whole week and will be again tomorrow. Even if I wanted to do something, and as much as I like summer, I'm not big on stifling heat. So activity levels will be low.
I need to do laundry. Do some maverick grocery shopping- stretch the 30 bucks or so I have to use for food this week as faaaaar as I can. Try to get Wicked out for a little drive. Clean the rattie and hammie cages. Maybe straighten my room a bit, clean the bathroom. That's the pressing stuff. Woohoo. They should make a movie about me.
I went back to the nurse practitioner this week. I'm still not up to par health-wise. I think I still have that infection= but when I went expecting some sort of new antibiotic or something, the nurse (different from the last one I saw) tells me he thinks it was an infection brought on by allergies due to my job. So he prescribes Flonase and tells me to double up by buying some Claritin as well. It's helping some symptoms but my cough- which is what I went back about, is still lingering on. The visit really cut into my budget. Had to charge the medication- the Flonase was $57. Paid for the clinic visit out of pocket- $65. Bleh.
Talked to the vet this week as well. He wants to operate on Switch and Sway as soon as possible. That's going on the credit card for sure. Certainly not in the budget. Unfortunately the soonest appointment I could get was for the 29th. I'm not all that eager for the surgeries though. There's always that danger of losing them under anesthesia. Not. Eager. At. All. Nervous as fucking hell really.
We got in a stray ferret today. Since they're illegal in California it's going straight to rescue. But oh my gosh, what a little doll. I swear I'd have it as my pet if I could legally adopt it- but it's probably a good thing I can't. I'd drive it over the border myself if they didn't have a rescue for them. Thank goodness.
