Still Sick
Well I tried.
I made it through most of the week, but by friday after lunch I developed a fever and got sent home. I called off today too. There goes my cached sick time. I'm sleeping like a rock though.
Let's see, I slept from 11am-4 yesterday. Then went to bed around 11pm. Slept till 630am today woke just long enough to call out and let my cat out of her crate. Got a call from AZ some time and I spoke to him for a few minutes, he was checking to see if I'd gone to work. Slept till 9am, got up- let the kittens out to play and feed my animals. Put them back about 1030 and then slept till 12- the operations manager called to see if I'd called out (apparently my boss wasn't in today so they didn't know if I'd officially called out) Called him back- got a text from one of my favorite volunteers to see if I needed anything- I texted her back that I'll be ok- then went back to sleep till after 6pm.
(that was the most boring paragraph ever, sorry.)
My wonderful little Galaxie spent a lot of her day sleeping on the bed with me. Cats are such a comfort. I love my little girl, she's super cool and I am super lucky to have found her.
I've practically drank every bit of tea in this apartment. Besides my lipton- which in all honesty doesn't make that great a cup of hot tea (I use it for my iced tea). I got a cheap tin of green tea from the dollar store- it's "ok" but it's certainly nothing to write home about. I've had some loose Tea of Inquiry from the Republic of Tea I'm embarrassed to say- for years. I bought it wholesale when I worked as a buyer- bought a whole pound bag of it. So it's lasted a really long time and I drink it quite a bit. I'm sure it's "no good" but it still tastes great. There's nothing but crumbs left really.
So I got online. I figure, hell, might as well buy some more- it's my favorite tea of all time. I kinda choked on the tea I was drinking when I saw $38 a bag. Boy did I get a deal originally. Heh. Oh well. I ordered another pound, and some of their wonderful Ginger Peach black tea- which makes the most orgasmic iced tea. Then, cause I'm a sucker, threw in an extra tin of Tea of Inquiry for AZ Guy with a tea infuser since I refuse to buy the Tea of Inquiry in tea bag form. It's loose or nothing! They were offering free shipping for orders over 60, so that definitely put me there. Oh well. Considering how long that lasted me- it's well worth the investment.
I haven't had a cup of coffee since I left Arizona. I think I might actually quit that for a while. I can't wait until I kick this sickness so I can go back to the gym. I feel like a slug.
My father is coming over tomorrow early to clean our carpets. A gift to my sister for the baby. At least I get something out of it. So despite how I might feel in the morning I will have to get up early to start getting stuff up off the carpet and make sure the kittens get their out time. Hopefully it won't take long.
I have to get Wicked out this "weekend". Monday hopefully I'll feel well enough to go for a nice long drive. I haven't been for a drive with him in three weeks. Such a damn shame.
