Money Come, Money Go
With cars, things always take longer than you figure.
In this case it may be another week. Or two. Who knows. I tried to fix my issue with Wicked this morning, and was unable to with the tools I have available here. It seems there may be some welding involved as well. So I have to wait until my dad has time to help me. Just what I wanted. Yay. No really, I'm very excited about this. See? :-| <----
So scrapping that, sis and her husband and I went to the "swap meet", which we just call the flea market, because "swap meet" is just the PC name for flea market. I had ten dollars cash. Paid $1 to park, $1 to get in. $5 for a new blackberry case- that will actually be used for my camera. $1 for 2lbs of plums, $1 for 1lb of green grapes. Then $1 for a Slurpee at the 7-Eleven. Killed over two hours. Not too shabby for $10 eh? Can't get that at the movies!
I also went to Target. My money did not fair quite as well there. I dumped $85 there. But there were some things that really need to be replaced (foundation, eyeshadow, razors) and other necessities (vitamins, shampoo, TP and other such things). Oh well. They say "easy come, easy go"- I only agree with the last part.
Pet store too. Forgot to get hammie food for Jet and Patriot (gotta go back tomorrow now), but got the two other things the pets needed. Shopping at the grocery store. Got everything for the week but forgot the frozen peas for the ratties' breakfast! (gotta go back there tomorrow too!)
Dumped $30 at Ross for some retail therapy, plus things that I'll need for the trip to see Arizona Boy next month.
My paycheck is just about gone people. Between today, and the bills I have to cover this pay period. It's a damn shame. I really need to make more money.
I found an article on yapoo that named the top 20 cities that it's hardest to get by in. My city is on that list in the middle area. No wonder. I need to move.
My days off are already going entirely too fast. Tomorrow I don't have much for plans since now I need to spend as little money as possible. I am going with my sister to meet my mom and grandparents for lunch at the indian casino. Grandpa is going to treat us to the buffet. I'll eat his money's worth no problem. As much as I loathe casinos, the buffet there isn't so bad.
That will be the most exciting part of my day. Aren't you thrilled for me?
One nice saving grace is that Galaxie has gotten over the sting she got a few days ago so thankfully I won't have the extra expense of going to the vet for her. I'm just glad she's ok. Sway also seems to be doing much better. Switch on the other hand still hasn't responded to the antibiotics, so it looks like I'll have to get her some benadryl and try that.
It was in the 90's today. I got to wear a skirt and a halter top. Yay! Summer's a comin'!
