Day With A "Race"

So I spent my day with Race, my friend from the car shows.

I guess you could say he might be a little more than a friend, kind of like an "option" that hasn't been fully revealed or taken at this time. I really don't know if I'm romantically interested in him but he wouldn't be a bad guy to be with. So I will continue to hang out with him and see where the path might lead.

He took me for a ride in a car he built himself. A car he's always tweaking. I really admire that about him. Being mechanical is already a good thing, being inventive with it is even better.

He made me lunch, salad, but this is the second meal he has invited me over for (the first he made me enchiladas). I find that very thoughtful and caring.

He asked if I would want a panel he pinstriped if he made me one. I said sure! So you know what he does? He takes out a panel and does the artwork then and there. It took him a while, pinstriping isn't a fast art, but he finished it and it's pretty neat. I don't know if he did it on purpose, but he said he saw a heart in it and pointed it out- and it's there.

He has three kids (two former marriages, yikes). Two are adults. One is 6 years away from being 18. Not at all my ideal, especially considering what happened with the last one I dated with only one adult child. However, he's also been single for 10 years. I have a whole lot more to learn about his past and he isn't super open to talking about it much, so when he offered it today to explain some things about how he feels about relationships now, I just let him talk.

I had a decent day though, and that's a good thing.
