My Life In A 13 Volume Set

I finished another scarf.

Hung out with my mother today and she's been knitting as well, scarves. Really because we don't know anything else. Which is ok by me. She said she'd like something more complex. Not I. I told her the reason I'm doing it is so I don't really have to think. Just keep my hands moving and my mind busy focusing on knot after knot after endless knot. I think, however, I'm going to attempt my first blanket. I have to buy different needles and quite a few skeins of yarn I imagine, so it will have to wait until pay day. Until then, I am out of yarn.

It was gloomy off and on today, but I took Wicked out anyway. Mum called just as I was leaving my neighborhood and hitched a ride with me. Not that I had much planned. Just drive. Stopped at Target for the usual crap and used $6 in coupons. I realized after we left that one coupon was for $2 off an item I meant to get but didn't and it got scanned and used anyway. Oh well, I consider that $2 off the last time I bought it there.

Drove for a while more and stopped for lunch. Well I guess I'd call it Linner since it was after 3pm and I haven't been hungry since. Browsed the book store next door and found a baby's book for my sister and picked up book three of a series I'm rereading. Got a coupon for 40% off for my next purchase. Which might be tomorrow. I hesitated to buy a hardcover reprint of The Never Ending Story because of the cost- but now I think I can manage that.

Dropped Mum at home after grabbing a jolt of coffee and came home. Started reading my book.

Now I'm reflecting on things. Thought about my old Anthropology professor and his Shamanistic ways and how studying that subject brought me a lot of clarity and openness. I need to pick that up again. I looked online at the books he has written. I have decided that when I have the money (probably pay day) I'll buy his books (four of them go for under 50 bucks). I didn't read them in class, because at the time the majority of them (3 of 4) weren't even written yet and his first book wasn't even required reading. If his books are anywhere near as fascinating and enlightening as his lectures, I have something very positive to look forward to.

I also want to buy the 13 volume box set of A Series of Unfortunate Events. That's $100 I'll have to hang on to for now. I know, I know. Kids' books, but so is Harry Potter and I haven't read those, so there.
